Quality Engineer is responsible for the implementation of customer quality requirements and the integrity of internal quality processes and procedures.
Review prints and other specifications with respect to design intent and drafting standards
Evaluate drawings relative to: dimensions, datum and tolerances that effect fit, functions, durability, functional gauging and product assessment
Evaluate processing methods to determine if methods planned will be capable of producing products to meet customer requirements on a continuing basis
Meet with customer representatives to establish critical characteristics, SPC points and monitoring methods
Participate in check fixture designs; obtain customer approval for fixture designs; Coordinate efforts of fixture sources and Center layout to obtain certifications (Dimensional and Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility)
Assist launch teams in performing Failure Mode and Effects of Analysis and Control Plan for every part (or family of parts) prior to tool completions
Establish inspection and operation instructions, SPC methods and charting for all new parts, prior to tool shop tryouts
Work with launch team and tool sources to prove process capability at tool try out
Coordinate first production runs at MEC for proper quality and process controls and Initial Sample Inspection Report
Work with customers, suppliers and MEC personnel to resolve quality concerns and maintain on-going quality improvement efforts
Review quarantined material and be able to recommend disposition activity as required
Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability
Lead problem solving teams and motivate its participants
Preferred B.A./B.S.: Math, Sciences, Technical or C.Q.E. by A.S.Q.C. (Liberal Arts acceptable with Q.C. background); 2-3 years prior automotive experience in quality with progressive responsibility, QC Inspection, Layout, SPC, etc. Solid knowledge of Welding Procedures, ISO9000 and TS16949, FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, Process Flow, Correction Action Process, etc. required.
Language Ability
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office, PRMS, etc.

CQE is a plus

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
