Perform project management duties related to launch of new products and engineering changes to existing products
Provide customer support via product design advice and problem solving assistance
Prepare quotations for new products & engineering changes to existing products
Determine sourcing for new tools; Negotiates costs & terms, writes PO's, approves tool designs, monitor tool construction, coordinate and supervise tool tryouts
Create and maintain engineering documents
Written and verbal communications with customers, suppliers and co-workers
Monitor performance to tooling budget
Provide technical support to manufacturing
Lead cross functional APQP team in the launch of an automotive styled launch of safety critical frame components
Ability to manage launch deliverables including tool budgets, timing, process cycle times and quality capabilities
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; 5 to 10 years of program/project management experience in automotive style product launches; Familiarity with 3-D CAD systems, GD&T; and typical drafting standards
Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete complex mathematical calculations and engineering of problems.
Must be capable of answering detailed questions on a broad array of subjects pertinent to the current technical business from engineers, managers, analysis, and systems groups.
Time management and interpersonal skills are required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations written in English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in English from groups of managers, customers, or other employees.
MATH ABILITY
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must have flexibility to travel.
Full understanding of AIAG documentation and philosophies
Understanding of metal forming and assembly operations including: Welding (MIG / Resistance), Stamping (Coil Fed Progressive, Line Dies, etc.), Coating (Finishes - E-Coat, Powder Coat etc.), Tube Bending, Cutting and Forming

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
